Robusta coffee varieties are usually grown at altitudes below 1,000m. Usually the height of the mature tree can be up to 10m. Yields are higher than Arabica coffee and at the same time easier to grow than Arabica varieties. Currently, nearly 90% of the coffee area in Vietnam is grown mainly with Robusta coffee varieties, widely distributed in the Central Highlands, Buon Ma Thuot, Dak Lak, and Lam Dong.
